Everyone’s favourite bakery is back with a new and exciting project to bring you the best baked goodies from around the world with a special French twist. The beloved patisserie Le 15 has earned a reputation for their Parisian ambiance and mouth-watering creations but until the 20th of this month they will be teaming up with another powerhouse pastry, the New York style cheesecake. This is part of the new series of their #LimitedEdition project where they began to bring flavours from across the world into their shop.
The #LimitedEdition project started about four years ago to give them a chance to experiment with their menu and give their customers something new to look forward to. With each limited edition series, they collaborate with creative individuals, artists and designers to make the experience a visual as well as culinary treat “These collaborations only happen every few months and we work on them as inspiration strikes. In the past, we’ve worked with Masaba Gupta, Nimish Shah and Nachiket Barve. We are now very excited about our upcoming collaboration with illustrator Sameer Kulavoor of Bombay Duck Designs,” says owner Pooja Dhingra.
Entrepreneurial pastry chef and head of Le 15, Pooja hopes to bring something special to their bakery this month “On a recent trip to New York, I rediscovered my love for Cheesecakes. Since we don’t have them on our regular menu, a limited edition series was the perfect way to share the love!” she explains. She was especially entranced by the sheer diversity of cheesecakes and returned with a mission – to fuse these flavours into their star product, Macarons. So for now, you can head on down to one of their outlets all this week and sample some raspberry cheesecake macarons or perhaps blueberry is more your style? And of course, you have to try the classic American pairing in the PB&J Macarons.
Le 15 has tried to capture the indulgence of the iconic dessert in this series, but what makes the perfect cheesecake? According to Pooja “The tartness of the cream cheese, A buttery crumbly biscuit base and the creamy texture and a slightly dense consistency make the perfect New York cheesecake.” This description alone has our mouths watering so we suggest you hightail it down to Le 15 this week and let their heavenly flavours take you on a journey to The Big Apple.
